If you enjoy old fashioned hospitality, tranquility, cottage decor, beautiful gardens & teddy bears then you should be happy staying here. Located in the heart of Fiordland we are close by popular tourist activities such as Doubtful Sound Cruises, Milford Sound day trips and some of the world's most stunning walking tracks. 

Lake Manapouri is surrounded by majestic mountains and people that stay here always leave with postcard quality scenery photos. Nature is abundant in Manapouri and the morning and evening brings wonderous bird songs. Bellbird, Tui, Thrush, Waxeyes, Blackbird frequently visit the cottage and during the winter it is not uncommon to have up to twenty Tui in one tree. 

Our Tui Room,  has a Queen bed, separate ensuite bathroom with a bath ( the shower is over the bath),  french doors open out to the cottage garden where you can sit and enjoy the views through the trees of mountains, river and lake.

Our Bellbird Room,  has a king bed, a  very small ensuite bathroom  with a dressing room. Windows are plentiful in this room allowing you to lay in bed gazing at the stars which are quite an awesome sight  in the south of New Zealand. French doors to cottage garden where you can sit and enjoy the views. Continental  Breakfast is served in our Conservatory.

Rooms have tea and coffee making facilities including herb tea, and milo (chocolate drink). Beds have electric blankets, each room has a Fridge, T.V. (programmed from the lounge) and a video player (to watch  excellent videos on the making of the  second Manapouri Power Station tunnel, or The Deer Wars in Fiordland ) Your laundry washed, dried and folded. $12 each machine load. while you are away exploring the wonders of this area.  We have a shared lounge with a log fire and heat pump, if you wish to chat, or listen to relaxing music.
